Voyage France
Planning a voyage to France, are you? Then you would do
better by learning some French first. French people are the
most patriotic about the use of their own language in their own
country. Even if they were to know the English that would be
your wont to use there, they will simply stare at you as if
they think you are from Mars or what.
In fact it would be better if you are from Venus, because
the French happen to be the most romantic people on the Earth.
If you can appreciate the sensitivities with which the French
are associated with, they would gladly play host to you in
France and guide you around in their native city or town.
The wonder about France in the above respect is that it is
actually a multi-racial country and is a veritable feast for
the arts appreciator. France is also pleasure country. If you
like romance, literature, music, painting, opera, dance, or
architecture, France will beckon you easily to savor its vast
splendor in these areas. France is also wine country if you
happen to savor the delights that the world famous Burgundy
wine can offer you.
Paris is of course the centerpiece of any holiday tourist's
attraction in France. It has all the requisites that will make
you love the atmosphere of the place. Ardent honeymooners never
fail to include Paris in their itinerary. The Moulin Rouge, the
Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysees, the Pantheon, the Sacre
Coeur, and of course the Eiffel Tower are landmarks in
Paris.
For the arts lover, the Louvre offers the world's best
offerings in paintings, antiques, sculpture, and architecture.
A trip to Paris is never complete without the customary boat
ride down the Seine River. Other places of tourist interest in
Paris are the Notre Dame church and the customary chocolate
sharing with your beloved in a Montmartre café. I personally
feel that a visit to Paris is never over unless you savor the
culinary delights of the famous Wilson Restaurant there.
The climate in France is temperate and has beneficial
effects on your health. Towards the southeast in France you
have mountainous country that can offer you beautiful scenery.
The French side of the Alps is host to Mont Blanc its highest
peak (4,808 meters). It is hexagonal in shape and is therefore
known as I'Hexagone by the French.
If you happen to be in France during the Tour de France
cycle race, it is a delight to watch some of the world's best
cyclists display their skills. The stamina and endurance that
they have is simply awesome. They not only have to ride their
cycles in the plains but also up the highly treacherous
mountain roads.
So prepare well for your trip to France and do not forget to
carry your camera to capture the most nostalgic moments on
film. As the French say, Bon Voyage to you and have a nice time
in France.
