Vacationing In The Lap Of Nature- The Safari Way
If your wish is to leave the hustle and bustle of a city and spend some time relaxing in a place untouched by human civilization then an African safari tour would be a perfect option. It would take you quite deep into the African landmass, where nature still exists in its raw state. Except for the mosquitoes (there are ways to fight them) you will extremely enjoy your safari trip.

Africa is a landmass which has the most number of politically disturbed countries. Despite that, safari business is flourishing under watchful eyes of respective national governments. Safari trips are organized in the following countries:

a) Kenya: Kenya offers the mother of all safari trips. 'Masai Mara' grassland, the home of wilder-beasts, exists in Kenya and crosses in to neighboring Tanzania. A safari trip to this grassland would bring you closer not only to a variety of herbivores but also numerous beasts of prey that feed upon them (includes lions, leopards, crocodiles, and hyenas). Kilimanjaro is also another perfect safari destination. Have at least a week in hand to enjoy a full-fledged safari trip.

b) Tanzania: Kenya's neighbor Tanzania has part of the 'Masai Mara' grassland within its boundaries. Hence, it too is a good place to look for a safari vacation. Safari operators in Tanzania, as well as in Kenya offer comfortable safari trips.

c) Botswana: Within the boundaries of Botswana falls the Okavango delta. It is an amazing natural feature. The Okavango River is the only river in the world which never reaches the sea but gets lost in the desert in a maze of lagoons, lakes and hidden water canals. It is an excellent place to go for those who are interested in water-game safari.

d) Uganda: Uganda is the place to be if you are interested in some gorilla tracking. It is located very close to the Equator, on The East African plateau (3250ft / 1100 mtrs). Hence, it has a lot of rain forests, perfect place for gorillas and other types of wild primates, birds and animals. It has a stable government which allows the safari industry to boom throughout the year.

e) South Africa: This country, located right at the bottom of the African continent, is considered by many as one of the numerous natural paradises on Earth. It has both beautiful grasslands as well as the ocean on three sides, which gives nature lovers to explore different aspects of nature and its species. In terms of natural beauty only New Zealand can compete with South Africa.

Kruger Park is the most famous safari destination in South Africa. Other destinations include Cape Town and Garden Route.
