Tip 5- It is necessary that you make at least two set of copies of your passport, visa, traveler's check and other important documents that you would be carrying with you abroad. Leave one copy with either family or friends and take the other set of copies with you.

Tip 6- It is best to have sufficient travel insurance to cover emergencies like medical treatment, any type of evacuation and all those activities which may bring harm upon your life. Also, do confirm it with your medical insurance company whether your policy applies overseas or not. Further, if your medical insurance does not cover emergency expenses such as medical evacuation, consider buying additional insurance.

Tip 7- It is highly important that though the US government will do everything to protect you, you are not advised against breaking any form of local law in the country you are visiting. Hence, you are requested to obey local laws and customs.

Tip 8- Keep handy the number of the US Consulate and Embassies, in the country you would be visiting.
